LKA Stripers Thanksgiving Weekend

Late Report.............Oldest daughter was here for Thanksgiving.  The boys were with their dad.  Saturday Morning started out at 23 Degrees, so we waited until around 10 am for it to get above freezing.  Could not find fish for the first 90 minutes, so made a move to another area of the lake.  Found them!  Probably had 2 dozen hook-ups, but the fish were just smacking the baits and getting hooked in the side of the face.  A lot of fish pulled free, but we did manage to boat 7 keepers that were hooked well enough.  Only one of the 7 boated actually had hooks inside its mouth.  The other 6 were hooked in the side of the head.  We did have a triple on.......of which only one was boated.  Sarah had a blast and was worn down by the time we got off the water around 1:30.  These fish were fat and their bellies were full of small threadfins.......maybe why they were just smacking the larger lures.
