So between working over break and christmas I was able to do some more add ons to the yak. Here is what I did.
I built a stand for the yak so that working on it would be easier. It cost less than 20 dollars and is way worth it. You can also see the new carbon sea swift paddle I won at the TKAA tourney.
Here is how it folds down.
I hooked up a camera mount for the HD waterproof video camera I got for xmas.
I also created a ditch bag that goes in the front hatch for cold weather fishing. It contains extra clothes, long johns, socks, shoes, a towell, lighter, $5, flares, toilet paper, poncho, light, mathces, among a whole bunch more.
I put a gloomis sticker on both sides of the front. I put a couple coats of a clear spray layer over top so that it would not deteriorate as fast. I also put this on my other logos. You can also see the wading rope attached. It is 18 ft of parachute cord folded in half making 2 9ft sections so that it is tougher with a carribeaner on each side so that it can be unhooked and put in the front hatch for when needed.
I also installed a rod pod with REDFISH12's help.
It gives me access to the hull and a tray. I plan on cutting this part of the hull off from the rest of the areas with a section of pool noodle with a built in area for soft plastics.
I got some KBF logos so I put those on as well.

I put some silent traction system on the boat as well.
I ran it down the gun wales where the paddle and rods hit when rested and where the seat hooks make noise.
The gunwale sections connect to the area where my paddle leash makes a bunch of noise and where the carribeaners that I use to keep stuff attached to the boat (dry box, ect.) connect.
Put circles that I cut out where my feet hit and where my water bottles and anchor hit where I put them behind the seat pegs.
I had left over scraps so I made a cool design where I slide my paddle underneath the bungees up front when I hook a fish.
I want to get another set of sheets to put some in the rod pod and front hatch and the crate for reduced sound in those spots.
I put some on the scottys as well.
I also got a kayak life jacket so my back would be more comfortable with the high back it has. It is an NRS chinook.
My hawg trough should be coming tomorrow so I have to make a place for it to slide in for storage.
Things left to do to the yak
-visipole
-fishfinder
-anchor trolley
-whatever else I think of as I fish

Looking good Charlie! I need to build one of those stands so that I can finish rigging mine! I need to re-do the visipole, add a rear scotty, re-do my ram ball, add an anchor trolley, add more reflective tape, finish my livewell, finish my ditch bag, make a secure spot for my radio, add another anchor cleat.... list goes on!
Glad I could help with the rod pod!

Yeah the list really does grow very fast! I just keep a word document and update it and then highlight the stuff I did already.
