The day started at 5:30 when Curly and I met up to head to the river in search of small mouth. I have not had the jet boat out in a long time due to all the high muddy water.

The day started off not so good. While I took apart the trolling motor, which was only unpluged, John got no takers on the buzz bait.
First fish was  14", which is when we found out my camera battery was dead.

But the fishing heated up and in the next couple of hours the catching was steady. John caught two to every one of mine.
Then at 9am in less then a foot of water. I tie into my first 20"....it weighed 3.9lbs and I caught it on 4lb test and a white wacky worm.

I think it is fair to say we caught close to 40 this morning.
