Today was a magical day. This post will be loaded with pictures.
My grandson, Luke, is in town for a couple of weeks and I had asked him if he was interested in a river float/fishing trip. He was not overly exited but he would be with Pop Pop so he said OK. The pics will tell the story but at the end he said, "when am I going to see Chris again?"
Luke had made about a dozen or two casts in the past and caught a blue gill or 2 under a float. But he had never fished from a boat of any type. We caught a few fish and we lost a few fish. I just sat back and watched Chris work his magic. He interacts incredibly well with kids.

That fish almost took Luke under the boat. He had never felt anything so powerful before.
Mrs. Campo (Chris' mom) makes great cookies!
This was one of our exploration stops.

Another stop.

Here he is hooked up from the rock!

Luke was able to do some wading at at the end he wanted to stay on the water...
...or on the raft.
Lunch was at Big Belly's!
And ice cream at Rocky Point Creamery.
Perfect way to end an incredible day of fishing, exploring, learning and bonding!

Ernie,
As always, a great story. You captured a side of Chris that is unique...how well he can interact with people of all ages. And I'm sure your grandson is now "hooked" on fishing.
