Roney and I fished with CT Campbell today....a day after the Full Blue Moon!
The river looked great, just a little stained and a little pushy.
It went from sunny to partly cloudy during the day.
Water temp was around 70dF, And air temps were in the 60s to start and 75dF at the end.
Roney started with top water (whopper plopper) but didn't get any until later in the day (total of 2). He accomplished his mission.
My day was filled with Z-Man stuff. That's all I brought.
Customary 1st fish pics!

I love this float!!

The bite in the morning was steady but the fish were smaller but fat.
After lunch, the bite slowed a bit but the quality was better.

We had several from 14 to almost 16 inches.
All the fish were feisty, even the 2 little one I caught (3 & 5 ") which is a good indicator of recent spawns.
Then, Roney got slammed and brought in this very healthy 18"er!
I had my work cut out for me. I then hooked a rock or log...that moved. I was able to bring another 18"er on board!
For the day I went 32 or 33 with 11 misses (fish that were on for at least a couple of cranks but got off). I will blame the Z-man hooks for the lost fish!
The bites were plentiful.
Not sure of Roney's numbers but he was close to my numbers.
A great day indeed and a happy guide!

Impressive! Well done gents! The scenery is always so cool there. I bet just floating down river is enough to make it a great day.

Yes sir, you are very correct. Truth be told, it's the journey not the results.

That is a good day on the river right there. 218s are always a nice bonus. Well done

Wow, great numbers and quality too. That scenery is epic. You picked a good day.
Now that my home projects are finishing, I will be out soon. Chomping at the bit.
