The weather is warming up and I thought....I could get a few hours in early AM before I have other things to do. So I went out and hit the water by 6:30 at Quantico and peddled my way down to the other end of the Chopawamsic. I tell you.....things look close until you have to cover all that ground (water) and it feels like you're not going anywhere.
Anyway, the water was still a little stained and the carp and gar were still spawning. Saw lot's of activity, but more carp literally catching air as they jumped out of the water straight up. I mean it looked like big dudes were cannonballing in a pool with so much white water splash going in the air. It's always cool to see how aggressive they are.
Caught a bunch of bass, but unfortunately I forgot to bring my back up battery. So, I only captured the first 2 hours. Here is a vid of a couple bass and that 15lbs catfish taking my lure. That thing was a tank! It would've sucked if it were any bigger on my bass rod.
