I.was going ton be fishing Wednesday but my wife reminded me she was going to be off so i decided to.store brownie points and be home. So I'm went out this afternoon instead after starting work early this morning.
With air temps being 80 and George making a comment about seeing bass chase fish a week or so ago, I put a fluke on one rod. I had a feeling/itch that I thought needed taken care of. I also had a spinnerbait crank bait and swim bait on my other rods.
First smallie cane on the small swim bait in a slower area of a longer rifle area and hit it pretty good. Few minutes later, threw the fluke right behind a rock sticking out of the water in same shallower arrea. No explosion but felt weight so I set the hook. Knew it waa nice and after a few minutes, thus 17.25" was in the kayak.

Moved up close to.a winter hole to work.the adjacent shallower areas. Got another on the spinnerbait and another on a smaller red crankbaut. Turned around to float back.to the car and got two more on the crank and swimbait. This 16.25 was the biggest of those 2.
All fish were caught on moving lures, which makes sense with temps getting warmer. Got.to love.spring

Great job getting some chunks on moving baits. I will have a couple ready to go for next trip.

Those are the best replacements I found for the old WinCo flukes because these caffeine shads have some weight to them and actually sink a little bit versus the zoom fluke
