River 3/9/2026

Got out with Jimmy for a few hours as we both had afternoon appointments.  Fished about 8am until noon.  Water was up to around 5 feet and stained with floating debris.  Water temp started around 49 and maybe hit 51.  We tried mostly shoreline eddies, but the fishing was tough.  Water was pushy and eddies were skinny and debris was plentiful on bottom as well as floating.

I finally got a bite on a tube.  Fish hit and missed on one cast and got it in the next.  Healthy 16 incher.

After no more bites there we moved a little further upriver and I got lucky with a bite on a tube as we were floating.  Behind a branch from a blowdown.  This was a nicer 18.5+ inch smallie.
