Solo outing

Managed to hit the river for a while yesterday afternoon, trying to take advantage of the overcast conditions all day.  I was hoping for a good top water pipe but that really didn't happen.

Picked up three little guys on the fluke fishing The long long before a section of shallow faster water.  Got up to the shallow area in and started working that over and had one hit a spinner bait but get off.  Then finally managed to get a nice one to hit the Choppo in an eddy off to the side.

Moved up and fished a big winter pool above the rapids in case fishes started transitioning up there but only got one to hit a swimbait.  Switched over to a small little Ned rig type plastic on a 15th Oz. Jig head and managed to catch two little guys on that at the bottom of fast water.

Before loading back up, hit a small winter area and caught one more on the little Ned rig type lure and one on a crankbait. Had another one follow the crankbait in and then another one get off when it jumped.

Didn't catch a lot but it had been a few weeks so I was glad to get out.  Total was eight. We're the biggest at 15 and 1/2.
