Headed out around noon, water was clear, cold and a bit higher than last weekend. Started at the back of a midlake cove and got a nice one first cast, about 3lbs on 1/4 finesse jig. Backed out and caught another on a shakyhead. Saw a bunch of carp sunning near the mouth of the creek and snagged one of them as well on the jighead.

Took a cruise uplake and hiked back to the end of a creek arm. The water had more of a stain to it back here and seemed a bit warmer, but it just didn't have the depth that midlake creeks had. Chucked a spinnerbait for a bit as well as the jig and worm but no takers. Hiked back out to the mouth of the creek and dragged my jig around some boulders and rock ledges and bagged another keeper.
Drove back down to the first spot at midlake to give it one more shot and caught 2 more nice ones on the jig and broke one off that felt very large on a t-rigged worm. All-in-all a very nice day on the lake, 5 keeper bass weighing about 10 lbs and a stinky kicker carp. Looking forward to coming back in in a few weeks when they start spawning. The water is still really clear in most parts, so it should make for some good bed fishing :-)

Wow! I hope to catch one that big this year...last year I could only manage a few small ones.
