8-16 and 8-17 Report

Sat. It was hot but a cool breeze kept us from overheating. Fishing was tough but we managed 5 LGMouth and a huge bluegill. Golden hour produced one LGMouth and I find that odd.

Sun. Hotter but once again the cool breeze came in play. Almost a skunk but a nice chunky LGMouth gave his position away followed by a precision cast caught him.  Golden hour did not happen as a big storm chased us off the water.  Probably the 5th time this year. Another frog choker rain.

Man, I would not have wanted to be out in that rain yesterday!  Looks like the snakehead have been elusive.  Nice LM.

yeah, that storm came in dark and nasty for a bit on the virginia side.  Snakehead have definitely been elusive this year.  I've been going out early, but I should try the evening golden hour sometime.
Good job getting the skunk off Capt Mike!
