7-23 Report
Three casts in and we catch a nice LGMouth last evening. Struggled for the rest of the evening. So many missed snakehead hits and the LGMouth just had lockjaw. Crew worked hard but only one fish was landed.

that's a frustrating trip then. Were the guys just setting the hook too quick? At least they were getting hits....after that it's up to their skill and some luck.

Missing is just part of targeting them. They can not suck a bait in like a LGMouth. No flaring of the gills on a snakehead. They grab the bait and swim backwards or turn to get it deeper in the throat. Most fisherman have set the hook by then as a knee jerk reaction.Very hard to stop and wait when Godzilla pushes the pads apart and eats your bait.
We count missed fish and on average 12 misses per one catch.
