I met Jimmy at the ramp and we were on the water by about 6:30am. River was a little below 6 foot at Point of Rocks and they had cleaned the ramp the day before. Water was brown stained, but not super muddy.
We hit some spots near an island and it did not take too long. First fish was on a twin tailed grub with dyed tails.

Then Jimmy's turn on one of George's jigs.

Then I caught another that was about the same size as my first.
We caught 8 spot hopping on that island. Since we were using 2 phones to take pix, they might not be in order.

Then I caught another chunky one.

My biggest

The count was 5 for me and 3 for Jimmy. Bite slowed down and we decided to make a run. First 2 spots did not produce. We caught a couple at the third spot. Only one picture worthy.
We headed back downriver after lunch. It was a while before we caught another fish.

Jimmy made a big comeback with a 4 fish flurry at the end of the trip. The total was 9 for him and 7 for me. We got off the river about 2:40pm with a cluster mess at the ramp. Great day overall after the flood.

Congratulations...that was a great day. Makes me sorry I sold my boat and my kayaks. What was I thinking?

I sold my canoe because I just can't lift it like I could with arthritis. Too much for solo outings.

A most solid day...congrats!

Fun fight in the stronger current too. Tubes, Jigs and plastics on swing head jigs were effective.

That is a good day there after the river was blown out

That's an epic day! Congrats and thanks for sharing. Really impressive considering the water levels and staining.
