Woke up early yesterday and took off to meet a buddy on the river. Got to the river and the temps were in the mid 30's. Chilly but we were well dressed. Well, my buddy was. I decided I didn't need the waders. Water temps were in the upper 40s to low 50s and probably should have brought those waders.
Never the less, we hit the river. Water was up and a little pushy
Wild life was everywhere. Herons, cranes, eagles, cormorants, and a host of other song birds. Saw a deer crossing the river in front of us.
Wasn't long until we both got the skunk out of our kayaks. Fish weren't chasing, buy hit a dead sticked bait with authority
The sun finally came out and the big girls finally came out to play
Had a blast and couldn't ask for a nicer day. Float went good, rapids were all ran in the usually places, and other than getting a little wet from the rapids, we safely made it to the take out.

That rapid in the first picture looks pretty familiar, if it is the one I'm thinking! Only one spot to run that in the kayak
