Fountainhead 10/7/24

With the low water, I decided to make a trip for some greenies.  Got there early and the water looked nice.  Only problem was the floating leaves that bogged down my motor a few times.

Beautiful day, but slow fishing for me.  I always overpack and over plan for that place.  Nothing on topwater, jerkbait or crankbaits.  I stuck to soft plastics mostly due to the leaves.  I finally got the skunk off in shallow water.  Nice healthy 17.5"er.

I tried a lot of spots and different lures. I got some blugill pecks, but no bass.  Almost decided to try for bluegills. but didn't.  The sun came out and the wind picked up.  That made the fishing even tougher.  I was just enjoying the beautiful day on the water.  Only a few boats out.  The wind did clear some of the floating leaves.  I finally called it about 1:30pm and ran back to the ramp.  I was off the water by 2PM.
