When CT Campbell told me that we were to meet at 9am to get our day started, I was exited. But on the ride down, Greg and I kept watching the temperature and it was in the high 30s! Yikes. But once we got to the ramp at 9:20a...
... the temps were already in the low 40s and climbing. NO complaining from me!
The water was clear and cold, I think the water temps were in the mid to high 50s.
We were exited to back down there again and it did not take long for the skunks to come off!

And we caught some more...

The scenery was spectacular!
It was a blue bird day but it didn't matter. The fish were biting!

Even a chub made an appearance!
They make some weird noises!
The day went great, we pulled over for a nice lunch at 1p. We even got buzzed (twice) by a pair of F-18s. That was a 1st.
And we saw 10 or so eagles.
I'd say we caught 3-4 dozen fish, none were bigguns but they were all well fed and feisty.
A great day indeed!

We only scrapped once. Water level was fine. And they are getting a slight bump today.

Ernie is being nice by leaving out the part that he caught the first 4 smallies and they were the 4 biggest of the day. I kept catching sunfish for the first hour or so. I was a bit grumpy for a few minutes and then realized it was a perfect day and I was out on the water. Life was good. And then I started catching fish. I came prepared with Ernies super special guaranteed lure all rigged and ready (I forget what its called right now), but it turned out they didn't want that. So I switched up. After a few lure changes I ended up on a green pumpkin bug that was the ticket. Ernie, on the other hand, was catching them on most everything he threw at them. As always, a great day with Ernie and CT. I love fishing out of that boat!!
