Got a little cranky

After 3 weeks of two family visits in a row, car travel, dog sitting finally was able to get out yesterday. The Shenandoah was still too high for me to comfortably be out on it so I switched it up and hit a lake instead.

Got out there about 11: 30 to Sun and a little more women than I thought. So did what I always do when it's windy and focused on The shorelines that had wind blowing into it. Started my first pass along the dam and got two smaller guys on the crankbait pretty quick. Picked up another small one at the end of the shoreline. Moved around a couple of areas. Just running and gunning because I only had about 4 hours.

Went back to the same shoreline to make another pass this time. Doing a few different other lures including a locally made minnow with internal jig head, the hover rig. Picked up two more on that including a chunky 14. Then finished out the day with two more on the crankbaits.

No pictures so you'll have to believe me ??? ???

The fish weren't Brown but I'll take it and was glad to feel a little tug

Re: Got a little cranky

When conditions are tough, you have to improvise.  Good job finding some.  I used to fish a lot of local ponds for whatever would bite.  I would mostly go for panfish with light to UL tackle to keep the action up.  River should be back down soon.

Always wishin' I was fishin'

Gotta do whatever you can to enjoy the fishing life.  Good effort!  No pics required!
