Fished the Piankatank many times but have yet to head up into the Dragon. Looks like a great place to spend a weekend.

Re: Dragon Run Drone footage

On one of my trips up there w/ Capt. Mike, we caught a multitude of species. Yep, 11 species for the weekend as detailed by my 10-3-16 report (LMB, snakehead, bowfin, white perch,
yellow perch, pickerel, crappie, striper, flounder, redfish & speckled trout).

But it's the lowly bowfin that I get most exited about. DO NOT take expensive spinner baits when chasing these prehistoric fish. They destroy them all so the $1 Wal-Mart specials suffice.

Fond memories,  but the last time almost did me in. Hard to believe fishing can become hard work. I'm too old for that much fun. :-(

Nice video but I was expecting banjo music in the back ground

And when those bowfin hit, you better be holding onto your rod or they'll rip it out of your hands

I still remember Ernie deciding to white perch fish with a UL and hooking into a bowfin. He landed it!
