Beaverdam 9/4

I figured I'd give this a shot for the first time in the long time.  I got on the water around 0730 on the Reservoir Rd side.  One thing I noticed on the west side is the presence of hydrllla along the edges.  That's new.  Still no luck finding any smallies.  I haven't caught one since prior to them first closing the reservoir for all the projects.  I tried all my prime spots.   Along the way I caught two year-old LMB.  Also got this one good bass working a tube in deeper water.  It felt really good to having something really pulling back.

Excellent! Even when they drained it, there were still some big holes that the bass could live in.

Many years back, I caught a very nice smallie there. Hope they are still around.

Time to go fishin' again!

Great to see.  My PB LM came from there many moons ago.  Huge thing could have been 8 pounds.  Measured 26 inches.  Caught dragging a crankbait up a slope near the sunken bridge.
