White Perch July 7th

Ernies report got me thinking so I hit Cobb Island with my next door neighbors at Dawn for some ultra light perch fishing. My neighbors like to harvest fish and for that reason they have not fished with me for LGMouth or carp or catfish.. They do not like to eat catfish. However they love perch. They asked me where the worms are? Ha ha we don't need no stinking worms. Caught an easy 100 between us and they kept 24. One slot red and a 12.5 inch white perch. Several 10 inch perch as well.
Picked up two dozen crabs from Capt Johns for lunch. Small crabs 29 a dozen. They had so much salt on them that it took 4 gin and tonic to re-hydrate. But they where good and the crabs too.

Stay away from all the salt! haha.  Not sure the gins would fix that issue, but it sure makes you feel better.  Nice capt mike!

So fun catching fish on ultra-lights.  And if you loose one, so what - just cast again

Thx for sharing

Nice work on the perch Capt Mike.  I definitely need to give that area a try one day.
