Edit: Title should be Spring SPECK fishing.(Now fixed) lol
Didn't get out a lot this spring due to wind and some minor surgery. Made a couple trips in the boat here in VA and one long weekend shore/Wade fishing in DE. Can't remember ever wishing I had brought my gloves when fishing in May but it happened a couple times this year. I'm ready for summer temps.
DE trip was ridiculously tough. Had 55 degree temps and 20mph wind the whole weekend in early May. Got a couple flounder and one blue for the smoker.
Caught this tagged trout 2 weeks ago. Still waiting to get the tag data. Wasn't one of mine.
Been getting a bunch of these little guys.
Mostly been a mix of trout, reds, and stripers.

Last Saturday I caught 3 nearly identical specks, all super fat and all between 22-23".

Next saltwater trip won't be for a month. Headed to Minnesota this weekend, can't wait!

HAHA, I never saw fat specks like the ones you caught! I guess obesity is contagious in the USA! Definitely some harsh conditions for you, but you always have epic events when heading out to the land of 10k lakes!

Man, those are healthy specs! You got out and got some nice ones, despite the conditions. Congrats!
