Afternoon quickie

First of all, get your mind out of the gutters because it's not that type of quickie 🤣🤣🤣🤣.   I got a short window to hit the river for a few smallies so I loaded up the kayak and hit it.  Went to an area that I haven't been to in awhile but can be good in spring before water gets too low.

Hit a few areas with crankbait, suspending jerkbait, green swimbait and red chatterbait but nothing. Then managed to find a couple hanging in some slack water right next to a fast current chute with the swimbait.  First was a nice 15" smaller and then this chunky 17" just slammed the swimbait.

Followed that one up with a bonus largemouth that is rare for the area.  Not a shabby 2 hours in the river.  Now that the weather is nice, will be out at least one day a week
