March 31st Shad Report

Last couple of years I have missed the shad run. This year was a bit early but still a great trip.

Caught a bunch of hick's and a few whites. All caught on this new under spin dart.

Re: March 31st Shad Report

Good outing mike!  A rig that an old timer was showing me from the shore is a tandem rig with a dart on the short line and a spoon on the long line.  I've been using it this year and I've been getting a lot of success with it.  But....when the waters are stacked with shad, anything will work! hahah

Re: March 31st Shad Report

I have some of these dart/spoons and have done well with them over the last couple of years. I even tied the darts!

But for some reason, I have not used them this year. Yet!!
