Being a bit of a hard head, I will try something different just for the sake of it. These Surface Tension lures intrigued me.
But my hook up rate was terrible. So we (Capt. Brady's suggestion a couple of years ago) dressed up the hooks.
And now I rarely use my Smackits or other treble hook type lures. Yes, it's harder to score but you can work at it by pausing the lure (it starts to sink, walking it or ripping it). This lure can be worked many ways. It looks weird but it works.
So I am getting closer to never using a treble hook again. Soon, I will have some lures for sale!
I just wished I lived closer to the bay so I could get out on it more.....

I am always intrigued by these. I hate treble hooks but they are hard to avoid! I have an atom popper with a single hook on the back and a few bombers with dressed siwash hooks in the back. It helps when the blues are around!
