Before I moved here, I lived in Raleigh, NC and would fish Sharron Harris Lake all the time (nuke power plant lake). The week of June 21, 1992 (week before I moved here), I fished it every day and caught several 5+ lb fish that week and included some 7s, an 8, and a 10. Posted below are the results form a tourney on that lake this past weekend:
Top 2 finishers averaged over 6 lbs/fish, top 6 averaged over 5 lbs/fish

20 years later, the big fish are still in there strong. I beleive the lake record was over 40 lbs (5 fish) last time I heard.
