Went out for a short stogie. Beautiful day out.
Just happened to have my 4 wt with me.
The crappie were biting!

Some of the other ones were bigger but no monsters.
1st black crappie.
Caught 5 in total (4 white & 1 black).
I did see some BG's cruising the shallows but they wanted nothing to do with my flies. They just nipped at 'em. Had a couple of them hooked for a second but nothing. I'm wondering if they are staging up to make nests.
BTW, I was covered in pollen when I came in. Black shorts told the story.
Time to go fishin' again!

Nice job for a short outing. Hope we get enough rain tonight and in the morning to wash some of the pollen away.

Wife had an appointment in Loudoun, so I dropped her off and crappie fished a little. Only fish was from the Big A lake,
Fished the ABC's, but no luck there. Saw no beds anywhere? Late spawn?
Next time up I will try for bass.............

Black, Red, White and Blue!
Went out for a very short stogie session (30 minutes) with the 4 wt.
Had 5 bites, landed 4. All different species.
Here is the order...
Still looking for that elusive LMB!
Time to go fishin' again!
