Re: Jan 24-25 Snow Prediction/Discussion Thread

We got 6-8" so far, depending on where you measure it.

And now rain/slush/sleet/ice is falling and the wind's starting to pick up

Re: Jan 24-25 Snow Prediction/Discussion Thread

They were at .3" very early and 4.1" at 7a. They...they disappeared.

They say Ashburn has 7" at 11a. Still coming down but very fine.

Already did!

Debbie did the slate walk and stoop (Lord help me if I did it), I did upper driveway, neighbor did lower driveway and sidewalk and his kid helped me out. Done in 45-50 minutes. I don't do the deck or back patio...nature can take care of that. I also used a small battery  powered blower that was fun. The beast blower is now with my youngest son in Alexandria.

Of course, it's all covered up again. mad

Re: Jan 24-25 Snow Prediction/Discussion Thread

I waited until this morning because of predicted freezing rain.  I got my wife to work, but it was not easy by myself.

Plan worked ok as snow underneath was powdery.  Top layer was heavy though.  Daughter home now to help clear it more.

Re: Jan 24-25 Snow Prediction/Discussion Thread

Today's shovel duty was much harder (and took longer) than yesterday. Two inches of crust.

Neighbor's trying their snow blowers again and struggling.

This one is mano a mano!
