First LKA Saugeye

Took my neighbor Rich out the other morning striper fishing.  We could not find them for 3 hours!  Decided to blind troll the edge of a shallow flat.  Within 5 minutes we get a hit.  Rich grabs the rod and it is a decent fight.  Get it next to the boat for a nice surprise..........big 23" saugeye.  Net it and put the fish grips on it for him because it has a mouth full of needle sharp teeth.  First saugeye landed in my boat!

Cut 2 nice fillets for him...............very good eats!

Awesome curly!  That had to be a blast to catch and will be even better eating!  Now I have to get back down there.

Re: First LKA Saugeye

Nice one! Almost looks like a pure walleye. Wonder if there are any of those left in the lake.
