Potomac River Smallmouth Club event- October 21
The next meeting of the Potomac River Smallmouth Club (PRSC) is on Wednesday, October 21starting at 7:15 PM at the Vienna Fire Station on Center Street in Vienna VA.
Our speaker will be Capt. Mike Starrett who is one of the few guides that has targeted monster catfish for the last 19 years. Come learn his secrets and be amazed that such monsters live so close to DC.
Capt. Mike averages 300 lbs of catfish a trip with only 10 fish caught ! Yes a 30 lb average that seems to be getting bigger and bigger each year. Capt Mike will show his rigging and secret baits as well as sharing his insight into the Monster Blue Catfish. And perhaps a life lesson too.
Meeting is open to all!!

A bunch of the club members will meet up at the Vienna Inn for some body fuel (they make mean chili dogs) at 6 PM.
This will be a good meeting...no doubt. Those of you who know Capt. Mike understand this already, others who attend will find out.
There is no charge to attend the meeting.

He brought a bucket of Black Salties, a gold fish like bait he uses, and passed one around. It was funny watching the expressions of the guys as they passed the live fish around the room. Everyone saw and handled it (40+ people) and then the BS went back in the bucket...alive and well, ready for his next fishing trip.
