Went out for a bit and caught a few.
Bassman was out there with his daughter....she caught at least 5 and was outfishing us!
I saw Jeffie catch a couple of them across the pond.....
Saw a 1at tonight. Brian was fishing a popper along side his wife and their dog. He caught a nice one and then his dog (a spaniel of some sort) jumped in to catch the fish. Unfortunately, he got hooked so Brian and I had do do some hook cutting. The dog behaved bravely as we unhooked her. Scary at 1st but a good ending.

The dog got hooked?!?! That's awful! I need to invest in a hook cutting tool. The only thing I have right now is a pair of needle nose pliers.

I just want to go on record that I did land three bass, one of decent size . . . but my 14-year-old did catch 5, so of course, she kicked my butt! We were both using watermelon green dead ringers (Zoom), and the bite was frequent and consistent. With a nice breeze and colorful sunset, it was a perfect evening to go fishing.
