I hit Tippecanoe for about an hour this morning... nothing much to speak of as the bite was slow. Landed about 5 in the hour all young and small with the exception of one which was roughly keeper size. What struck me the most about this morning was the amount of algae! There is anywhere between 3 to 20 feet of the floating stuff surrounding the pond on all sides. its everywhere! What is up with that?

The algae is normal (unfortunately) for this time of year. After the rains washed all the nutrients into the lakes, we had hot and sun which fed the algae. The HOA treats the lakes (contractor) but they are often behind the curve.
This is an ongoing problem.

The Lake Warden for that lake is Michael Biggs. You should complain to him in an email. He constantly relays to the Ponds & Lakes Committee that the lake is in great shape, even though it is loaded with algae. His email address is:

The warden for Tippecanoe is Daryl Friedman.

Biggs is on Beech.
