5-24-09, Upper Potomac report from Paul Kordon

Paul went out on Saturday and was on the water by 6:00 am. He fished from Lander to Point of Rocks.

The water was slightly high and murky.

He threw a buzz bait with a black skirt and pumpkin colored pig on the hook, in the eddy of a rock and this smallie hit it hard.

The fight was for about 3-4 minutes. While he had no official measurements, it's total length was equivalent to the size of the plastic paddle end of an  aluminum/plastic oar.  He guessed about 18-20 inches and 4-5 lbs.

Time to go fishin' again!

surely a nice smallie but I'm not sure I'd give it 4-5lbs...
