Fly fished with Matt after I got back from some amazing trout fishing in West Virginia. We fished Cedar for 45min with nothing so we moved to Beech. I had one when we saw Patrick after about fifteen minutes of fishing. I then caught a bunch more. I ended up with 15 bluegill and 1 bass. Matt had two bluegill. The bluegill were between 5 and 10 feet out, as with the bass. I caught all mine on a tan fly and matt caught his on a black.

So...what kind of tan or black fly?
I tried Cedar for 15 minutes with no hits so I went back in.

The smallest bluegill ever that I caught on Sunday and another one that I caught on Sunday. Does the abundance of orange on some of these bluegill mean they are spawning?

Usually, lack of color means they have been out of the light....in deeper water.

So does the one with the orange, just mean that it has been in the shallows?
