A friend of mine is going to go fishing (mid April) at Cave Run Lake in KY. It's 9,200 acres of water...a musky lake.
What lures should he use?
I am going to lend him some stuff from my arsenal of (striper stuff?).

Oh Josh???

Don't musky like big inline spinners? I've seen (on TV =P) them use big black inline spinners. Super sized mepps.

That's one of 'em but Josh has actually fished for them and caught them!

lots of stuff, here's what I carry
big inline spinners 6" or bigger
soft jerkbaits 7" or bigger
biggest crankbaits I can find
floating minnow baits and suspending jerk baits - again, big, 6" or more
there's some specialty musky shops out there as well that carry all kinds of good stuff, lemme know if you need links
ps - wire leaders, there is not substitute
glide baits - this is a suspending walk the dog type bait....oh, did I say big?

I like the double bladed buzz bait that Josh uses. It sounds like a duckling running for cover.
