The wind....BLOWS!
Luckily, it was not a major factor for us until we quit around 12:30p.
I had looked at 3 forecasts to try to determine if we could go today or not. I told George that were were on! Let's go fishing!
All three forecasts had the winds picking up around 10a, which it did. But not yet Gale Force. That came at noon.
So we splashed the boat and ran in to Don and his crew and then Capt. Rich.
Don' s boat had picked up a few and Rich only a couple.
We started up high but there was a ton of water flowing plus we only got a few subtle bites. So we went down a little below Don (they were catching a few) to where Bob and I did well on Monday.
Well, it was not to be. We plucked one here and there and I managed a 7-2 lead on George. Most of the fish were nice!
Then George got hot so I stopped taking pictures after this one!
We talked to Don and his son had caught 20 and his grandson 15. I didn't even hear what Don caught. It was time to get catching!
So we did. In a 90 minute period, I caught a few more to get to 15 but George caught more than a few to get to 15 as well. We didn't get to 31 like Monday but we were happy that we got to fish as long as we did.
I had just broken off and now had 3 non operating rods so I told George to keep fishing and that I would watch since I didn't want to retie. He said, "me neither" and that was it. A tie!
There were white caps on the way back and two knuckleheads were going out in a scanoe. IMHO, that was a bad idea as the winds were foretasted to increase as the afternoon wore on. You can't fix stupid.
George got to celebrate his pre birthday smallie fishing with Doug on Wednesday and his post birthday today shad fishing.
Lunch was good.
George had a shrimp po boy and I had a grilled chicken sammie.

What a blast & thx for everything again.
After watching the forecasts, I gotta say today went better than expected. 30 fish was great for March & the conditions.
When Ernie was up on me I started calling him Bob every time he hooked up.
I'm sure hoping we don't read about those two guys in the scanoe. Crazy, White caps and gale force winds.
Raptors everywhere. Very fun watching them fish the waters and flirt with their mates. Love that place.
Allot of laughter and solving the world's problems went on during the boat ride.
Sandwich was great. Luv that dive. Right next to the water, decent food and friendly help.
