Chesapeake shallows- last couple months
Weather and other obligations have kept me off the water on several weekends since August but I'm still getting out whenever I can. Made a trip to Kiptopeke in mid September for some kayak and pier fishing but other than that I've been doing my usual routine of fishing the shallows on the Western shore of the bay from the Potomac river to the Mobjack. It's been hit or miss, some real slow days and some very memorable. Caught some nice specks and reds but stripers have been conspicuously absent lately.

Nice fishies all around. Good to see some slab flounder in the mix!

Yep. Little gag grouper off the Kiptopeke pier. First one I've ever caught in VA.
