Six of us had a really good time fishing the Northwest River for a week. Just like 5 years ago when we did it the learning curve was steep. I zeroed on day one and next day only 4 LGMouth. But once I dialed in the bite, it was lights out by the end of the trip with over 20 LGmouth and pickles on the last day. All topwater. Rico is still my friend...
Saw some awesome things and caught some fish. All kinds of fish.
One pic is of a tree that had been rammed by a boat. All they way thru the tree. Looks fresh and like they saw zawed the front the of the boat to free it from the tree.
Power fishing did not work at all. My little BFS baitcaster caught so many little LGMouth it was insane. Fun on 6lb test too.
Here is the link to a few pics from trip.

Great set of pics. Looks like somebody had a real bad time backing up their trailer, or was that chunk of boat stuck in the tree out in the water? Also, what were those bugs all over your truck? Holy cow.

That tree was in Shingle creek about halfway to ramp. Judging from the height and direction a big boat missed a turn. Ran right into the woods. And thru a tree.
The bugs are blind mosquitoes or fuzzy heads. They bite.
