Met up with Capt. Mike at noon for some carp fishing. His wife and little grandson Owen joined us. The weather was beautiful with light winds and sunny and the tide was moving slightly. Capt. Mike had three rods sitting on a pod with nice sensors hooked up. He landed a beautiful 17 pounder when I arrived. I set up three medium action actions to his left. Within 30 minutes of setting up, a school of carp came through and we both started getting takedowns. My friend and fellow carp fanatic, Mona, later joined us for the action. We both used corn and packbait to target them. Three hours later, the bite cooled down and we all ended up with a total of 9 carp landed and 2 lost. There was another gentleman set up to our right who landed a nice 24 pounder. What a beautiful day on the water!! It was a great pleasure meeting Capt. Mike. I learned alot about fishing tactics and life fishing with him today. What a day!!
