This post is mainly for that Ernie character who can't seem to find any of the most prolific fish in the Chesapeake.....;-) Although I'm impressed with the puppy drum and diversity of species from his recent outing!
In spite of handicapping total catch numbers with one of those damn long rods, Jamie Gold and I managed to put fresh fillets in Jamie's cooler, landing 70 or 80 perch, over a dozen stripers, 3 pickerel and even a sunfish. The perch remain concentrated and rather finicky, but there were many 8"+ specimens that cooperated today and a couple of bigguns that made filleting a little easier. The Western shore rivers around Annapolis are chock full of bait with many predators in chase, although our kept perch seemed to prefer small crabs to minnows....

It was, thanks Ernie. You and the other PRSC boys sure have been on the water a lot these days!

As Jamie said, after fishing in PA on Saturday and with you in MD on Sunday, "I'll rest when I'm dead"!
I actually took a break when my wife and I went out to the country to chill in the mountains for a few days.
