Shad Research Trip

Wed I did a dawn trip looking for shad. Marked lots of them on the way out but could not get a bite. Raining and cold was the day. By 10am all the marks where gone. Caught one tight against some trees as the sun tried to show. But clouds came in 5 minutes later and the bite never happened.

Starting to notice a pattern over all these years. Sunny and warm equals bite. Clear water helps too. Slug of muddy water arrived later that day from the heavy rains we had. Cancelled the next two trips. Back at them Wed of next week. Good warming trend next week. No rain I hope.
