Got out around 8 am and went looking for fish in my area. Found them in short order. Tons of bait and fish with them. Ended up with a 14" and 12" crappie, a 12" white perch, a 21" and 22" striper, and a 21" hydrid striper after 2 hrs. Fish for dinner this evening!
May go out after lunch targeting just crappie.

Here is the photo example from today's fishing. 22" striper on top and 21" hybrid striper on bottom. Hybrid stripers are a cross between female pure striper and male white bass. Hybrids usually have pronounced broken lines, a smaller mouth, and have a deeper and very thick belly. The striper above is around 3 lbs, while the hybrid is close to 6 lbs. They taste the same

Hybrids are also called wipers by some. I am not sure why some people see them as a nuisance (up North or Midwest?).
