I got out early with the level about 3.5 feet and dropping at POR after the flood. Water was pretty stained, but not muddy. Some debris in the water.
It was cool enough I had to wear a jacket. After a brief attempt at topwater nearby, I ran upriver. I stopped at the tip of an island and got a swipe on the Whopper Plopper, but no fish. Next stop was the cliff and I managed a decent 15.5" LM on a tube. It was good to get the skunk out, but no more bites.
I ran up to below White's Ferry. The eddies were not producing. I decided to run up to where the Ferry crosses and work the shoreline. Water was almost muddy and no bites. I saw some fish activity in the middle behind a current break and decided to try that.
After anchoring, I made a few casts with the tube and landed this 13.5" smallie.
No more fish there. I saw some other fish surfacing and tried a couple spots and eddies, but nada. I finally decided to float back on the inside of Harrison island. It was pretty stained. Lots of targets, but no bites. I ate my lunch and just meandered back and forth to work targets while floating. While passing an island, I saw some riffles from shallower water. I tried a Bass Pro 1-minus bait an got a good hit. It came off and then something hit again. It was a decent 14.75" smallie.
That was it for fish caught. I tried swim bait, spinnerbait, in-lin spinners, shallow running crankbaits and a wacky rigged senko also, but no love. Nice day to be out. Saw deer in the shallow water a couple spots, a snapping turtle, some Green Herons and a cool duck I could not ID in addition to the usual wildlife.

Nice!
POR is 2.7' as of 8a today. I am looking a bit more at the Monacacy and Edwards ferry gauges now because their levels can affect us more (like when the Monacacy spikes and turns the MD side to latte.

I was out all day due to how far I ran (until 3:15pm). Had to float back part of the way because wasn't sure if I had enough gas. Ran up Goose a little too, but water was not really clearer.

Thankfully, I have a 17 gallon gas tank but that run up and back usually takes almost 1/2 the tank.
