Upgraded 4 of my Revos to ceramic. It was a pain to pull the spindle pin. So ordered a tool and of coarse it got delivered to the wrong address.
The first reel I butchered the pin (with out tool) but was able to get back in slightly bent. Gave that reel to my son in law. Then found a washer on the floor. Hmm no wonder it was hard to wind. Casts like a dream but too much handle resistance winding in. May need to put that washer back in.
The other three I used the pin tool and all three are smooth and much nicer now.
ABEC had a sale on bearings so 80 bucks later I had enough for four reels.
Dying to try them on the Dragon next week.
Rods ready and tackle all packed for 14 days of fishing. Will take lots of photos and report on upgrade to my reels.

I had someone add ceramics to some of my Revo’s last year. You can hear ‘me a bit more than stainless but they are nice.

On one of the old fishing boards, I traded jigs for a home made tool - best way to describe it is flat nose pliers with a hole drilled in both jaws. Then a pin was welded into one of the holes.
