Rolled the big boat out from the cover after sitting for 2 months. Everything looked good as I fixed a few minor issues. Launched with my two son-in laws and started up on plane to my trout spots. Horn goes off and engine overheats. Found a bee clogged the pea hole and back up on plane. Oddly no feed from engine to gauges on depth finder. Reset network and gauges work. Flip main power for dash and nothing..no power. So I do what most fisherman do. Went fishing regardless. Regardless of no bilge pump, no radio , no lights, live wells. No RPM on Dash but the depth finder gauges worked just fine now. Tried 5 spots and no trout. Caught some big white perch and and few convict bass.
Fished for 4 hours and back home to figure out why boat had no power.
Next morning found the answer. Remember when my batteries exploded in the console? A small scrape on the main positive wire got eaten away by the battery acid. Will need to pull a new heavy wire from back of boat to feed console. Original wire is in the loom they use when the boat was setup at the factory. Must have been scraped from the original setup of the boat. Battery acid did the rest.
Always fun..

Always an adventure...one way or another.

It wouldn't be a day in a boat if nothing went wrong.
Too bad the trout didn't cooperate. I really wanna give the Piankatank a shot.

You do know the good Captain tends to exaggerate. I'm betting those perch weren't any bigger than 12".
