Bill and I met up at 7:30a and were fishing shortly thereafter.
I got off to a pretty quick start but today was smorgasbord day! We caught 8 species (herring, hickory, blue gill, striper, white perch, yellow perch, channel cat, blue cat). All told, we have caugt 12 species at the Occpoquan this year. Add LMB, SMB, carp, quiillback to the list!
The yellow perch is one that has been missing form that river for a few years now....I was exited to see that one!
Bill now has a new name, "catfish Pearl". He caught 7 (that we landed) and had a big one take off and break his line.
Here are some pics:
This next cat was just shy of10 lbs!
I had 2 hickories that went 17" and one that hit 18". In total, we caught 30 hickories, 2 stripers, 8 cats, a blue gill, a white and a yellow perch.
Good day out and another nice lunch at the Cafe...and once again, I forgot the food pics...maybe tomorrow!
