Jay's Wintry Mix says..."Update on Saturday event. Right now....its a snowstorm on the models but a slight shift north would put us in sleet/rain. With that being said..its a very quick moving storm but it has a thump factor. Similar to that storm a few weeks ago that started at rush hour and snowed heavy for a few hours. The whole thing is predicated around temps falling from 60 Friday to 31 by Saturday morning. But it could be one of those nice Saturday snowstorms that piles up on the grass and trees and not the roads. Wet snow..pretty but not disruptive. There could be another frozen wave Sunday afternoon and then a very serious winter storm next week that could start as moderate to heavy snow and turn into a serious ice storm. But thats forever away."
I'm still getting brisket!

Now saying 1-3 Saturday
around 1 on Sunday
3-5 Tuesday
1-3 Friday
1-2 the next Sat and Sun
1 or so a week from this coming Monday

Staying a week out, now (according to some) it looks like 2 shots at 3-5" and 2 shots at undecided....but worried about them since they could be ice.

And just like that...the forecast changes. Looks like the temps don't like freezing.
I'm sure the forecast will change again....

I've seen predictions of 2-3, 3-5, undecided, "will report 24 hours before the event"....they are all over the place.
It's all gonna melt on Thu and Fri.

Looks like heavier snow (then ice) is moving closer to us!
I will enjoy a nice bike ride....on my inside bike!

I'm kind of excited...to build a sledding ramp for my kids which will be slick with the ice...

Snow starts in the AM...if anyone want to make a prediction, throw it up here (by midnight tonight, 2/19). Dulles AP will be the judge, before it melts away.

Hmmmmm........that is either very conservative or very high, depending on what weatherman you listen to. Maybe Ernie is taking the average?
I will try to post my guess later today after work.
