John and I were on the water before sunrise and hit the local shallow water spot.
I took the skunk off 1st with a solid 15incher!
He then followed suit ...
...just before my jerkbait got tugged on hard. He peeled some line and then...see you later. Gone. Just a memory now. Must keep fishing.
We decided to move upriver...way up river!
It was a good decision as we caught at least a dozen fish up there!
We then motored down river to cool off and fish some familiar waters. We each scored a few including the biggest of the day at 16.5"!
This guy paid us a visit when we came back to the ramp!
It got really hot out after lunch...we were off the water shortly after 1:30p.
John took honors with 11 fish, I had 9 which included the long ear.
We did miss more than a few....but we caught fish at every place we stopped. Great day out!
BTW, white was working well today....

I think we got off just in time...sun, heat and humidity just about beat us to death but we did work hard today!

That kind of work is ok with me! Just doesn't pay the bills...

It's actually a bit big for perch, wide gap hook on an 1/8oz shallow water striper jig made by the other George, from Specialized Baits.

A bad day of fishing always trumps a good day at work
