Buddy wanted to do some new water, and I had some idea but they would take a drive
So woke up at 3:30am, hooked up the trailer with the kayak and drove 2 hours south. After the shuttle we hit the water around 7am
As we were getting ready at the put in a bunch of cars drove up and parked. Looked like no one was fishing. A lady came over with a plastic tub and told us they were having a memorial. Being curious I asked her "who is the memorial for?". She said he was the local veterinarian and used to fish allot and this was his last wishes. As they were doing their thing we started our float and both of us said to each other "Not what's a first".
Water was stained and up a bit, but still safe. Flukes and swimsuits took most of the fish, with a tube in the deeper areas working well too.
We both eked out about 25 each, my biggest was 17, buddies was 15.5.
Shuttle guys put on easily 100 canoes. Bikini hatch was on
And to prove it actually happened
