I was actually thinking about getting out for some topwater action in the morning before they updated the forecasted river levels.... I t may be a week or two now.

I was too but then they were saying it would be raining at 7am so I stayed up late. I could've gotten out for 4-5 hours.
Right now water rescues are happening all over Fairfax Co. Loudoun assisting at Rt7/Difficult Run and Brown's Mill Rd/Difficult Run.
Gauge show Cameron Run way up right now.

I was out for 8 hours on the Doah
Rain made the fish come up, but so did the river
Found pockets with fish every other cast, then had some long dry (well, dry meaning no fish) spells

Glad to see you are desperate enough to go after VA fish again! Any good ones?

The drive in today along the Potomac revealed a river of mud two to three feet higher than normal around the WW bridge. Looks like a week to recover is a little ambitious for this stretch of river. The Bassmasters upper bay tourney starts this Thursday and it may be a tough one for them. Long runs up feeder creeks may find the same slug of mud.

Every morning I drive up the Potomac and it looked like 4 creams in your coffee today.
Catfishing should be good this weekend. The day bite will happen since it is so muddy.
Every black cloud has a silver lining.
