June 10th Double Report

Once again the rain and thunderstorms skirted our position all evening. We did get wet, but it was a light rain. Now this evening was very different than Saturday in that the water was bit dirtier and the fish followed many times but did not hit. First two hours and not even one half hearted try at eating our baits. The tide started to move out and I gave up on the pads and went to the main creek to throw poppers. Still no hits in the dirty water. So I moved up a creek flooding out of the swamp and we scored. The further back we went the better the fish. Ended on a nice snakehead and a gar about 4 feet long.

If I find the gar picture I will post it later.

This snakehead is from Saturday on Capt Dave's boat.

Boy did my crew have a tough night.   I'm not sure what else to say than, "tough night."

Tough night, but not because of any lack of effort!  Capt Mike and Capt Dave have always gone above and beyond and my brother n law and I had a blast on Saturday.....even in the buckets of rain coming down (I haven't laughed that hard in a while!).

Very few dull moments on those boats, even if the fish don’t bite!

Time to go fishin' again!

Re: June 10th Double Report

Capt Mike, are you walking in the Caps Parade????

Hopefully the water clears up a little for Father's Day, looking forward to going out there with my dad and IHC.

I'll have some of my buddy's German beer for all of us. You guys like the lager, pils, hells, or dunkel the best?

Re: June 10th Double Report

I was going to ride in one of the convertible cars but instead got seated in the bus. Decided not to go because nobody puts "Baby in a corner".
It was a glorious day with many chores completed and only spent 3K at the furniture store. Lots of fishing trips needed to pay that off.
Sat on the front porch and invented a new drink called Starrett's Front Porch and also had a Blue Bird 2 , Blue Bird , Sazerac and Corpse Raiser 2.

All fine drinks..small gimlet style drinks..
